Nok Air (“nok” meaning “sparrow” or “small bird” in Thai) is the second Thai budget airline connecting Bangkok to the Mergui. Flights depart from the Thai capital’s airport Don Mueang to Ranong – every day except on Tuesdays and they leave Bangkok in the early morning.

With its small and colorful planes, Nok Air might actually be Thailand’s fastest growing airline. Food and service are simple but reliable, maybe because Thai Airways International owns a share in the company.
