SY Jubilaeum

SY Jubilaeum

Jubilaeum is a classic ketch and has sailed the world. In 2014 she underwent a complete refit, making her one of the most well-equipped and beautifully restored yachts of her class in Myanmar.

With her flowing lines, SY Jubilaeum embodies the timeless elegance of a classic ketch. She was designed and built by the renowned boat builders of Kemeu Engineering in New Zealand. This Don Brooke Pilot House 77 features a steel hull construction with full keel, beautiful teak deck and woodwork throughout and an impressive cabin design.

Jubilaeum recently underwent a complete refit and overhaul, which turned this ketch into a modern sailing yacht. The craftsmanship is evident in every detail. From the decking to her new interior, Jubilaeum is truly one of a kind.

Upon entering the interior, you will first notice how bright and well-lit the atmosphere is, which gives the area a very spacious feel. Mid-ship is her generously equipped galley, the saloon with two separate seating areas, the control room, and the coach house.

The large owner’s suite comes with a very comfortable king-size bed and an L-shaped sofa. The en-suite bathroom has all the amenities you would expect on a luxury yacht. On port-side is a second bathroom and an adjacent twin cabin. Forward of the saloon is a second twin cabin (which comes without private bathroom).

Crew

Captain Aye Min Htet, pictured in the middle, started his career in the merchant navy and has spent more than half his life at sea – above and below the water. Eight years ago, he became a professional yacht skipper and has since sailed the world and crossed several oceans. Three years ago, he became Jubilaeum’s captain.

Hay Balu Htoo is the first mate. Hay became a fisherman at the age of 16 where he learned the basics of life and work on a boat, including repairs and servicing engines. He started work as Jubilaeum’s deck officer in February 2015.

Ngwe Moe serves as steward and deckhand aboard the yacht. He was born in the coastal town of Myeik (Mergui) as the son of a farmer’s family. But his passion for the sea made him choose a career in the marine industry. He joined Jubilaeum’s crew in 2016.
